Student Wellbeing at St Denis
At St Denis we aim to nurture the wellbeing of every student in a Christ-centred community. We use a mutli-tiered approach to foster the development of the whole child through:
- Inclusive classrooms with calm spaces and sensory tools
- Making Jesus Real Program
- Friendology Program, a friendship curriculum with consistent language and strategies to help children become Friendship Ninjas
- Protective Behaviours Curriculum
- Nature play spaces
- Sustainable practices
- School Psychologist and Social Worker
- Support from Education Assistants
- Speech and Occupational Therapy Screenings in the Early Years
- Excursions and special events such as Harmony Day, NAIDOC Week and camps
- A variety of extra curriculum activities to foster student strengths and gifts
- Year 6 Committees to develop leadership skills
- First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Diabetes trained staff
