Student Wellbeing at St Denis

At St Denis we aim to nurture the wellbeing of every student in a Christ-centred community. We use a mutli-tiered approach to foster the development of the whole child through:

  • Inclusive classrooms with calm spaces and sensory tools
  • Making Jesus Real Program
  • Friendology Program, a friendship curriculum with consistent language and strategies to help children become Friendship Ninjas
  • Protective Behaviours Curriculum
  • Nature play spaces
  • Sustainable practices
  • School Psychologist and Social Worker
  • Support from Education Assistants
  • Speech and Occupational Therapy Screenings in the Early Years
  • Excursions and special events such as Harmony Day, NAIDOC Week and camps
  • A variety of extra curriculum activities to foster student strengths and gifts
  • Year 6 Committees to develop leadership skills
  • First Aid/Anaphylaxis/Diabetes trained staff
